Composite slates – there are various types manufactured but all are usually made from crushed natural slate bonded in resin and moulded to produce a riven surface closely resembling natural slate. The benefit of these slates are the speed of fixing over a natural slate roof as all slates are uniform so no grading or sorting is required.
